Make it so various fields don't close when clicking and dragging a field outside of the box

When clicking and dragging a field, for example a client's name, it keeps closing the client details because it assumes I clicked outside the client details, but I just wanted to highlight a field. This happens with client details, projects, tasks, record time, etc.

This hangs me up frequently, too! Not just in client details, but also projects, tasks, etc.

I'm not 100% clear on the use case here... are you just trying to copy the client name and paste it somewhere else? Most of our modal windows auto-close if you click outside of them.

Geoff Mina It's kind of hard to describe. When you're highlighting an email address, for example, if the cursor goes outside of the window during highlighting, the whole window closes and you have to reopen it. So it's not a click. The window somehow knows you've moved out of it during the highlighting movement.

Kari Silverberg exactly. I'm sure there's a way to code it so it still closes when you click out, but doesn't close if you click/drag and happen to land out of the window during highlighting and when you release the mouse outside the window.

Yes, this is an annoyance for me to. I’ve learned to carefully and slowly highlight. But if the window was stable, it would be better! By the way, this happens with the record time window, as well.
