I prefer using the requests feature to email for my clients. I've found that if I view the client portal as my client, I can then send a request in from there to launch a new support thread. This is really handy if we've just had a phone or whatsapp conversation and I want to transfer the info into Hectic, or if I want to tell the client something like asking them to review/approve a completed deliverable. It would be really nice to have the feature in Communicator to start a request/ticket thread with a client for a particular issue rather than sending an email.
