Is Wave's API still incomplete? Just checking 😉
Geoff Mina
Paul: they intentionally left out just a few features that would be required for an invoicing platform to successfully integrate.
They make all of their money in CC transactions and need to be the invoicing product to do that.

Geoff Mina: Thanks for the quick reply and update. I guess they don't have an incentive to open the API up.

Geoff Mina: I just check the Wave website (I am a client) and they have an integration to a product call BlueCamroo, they are a CRM. I wander if they have updated their API to work with BlueCamroo?
Geoff Mina
Felix Rivera: it’s the invoicing side of our business they don’t support.
This isn’t going to happen unless they change their philosophy.

Geoff Mina: Ok, I get it.

We attempted to integrate with Wave, but we were unsuccessful. They have an incomplete API that would prevent us from providing a comprehensive and effective integration between Hectic and Wave.
Unless Wave decides to re-invest in their APIs and complete their partial implementation of their Invoice API, we will be unable to move this project forward.
On the bright side - we do have a full featured integration with Quickbooks Online now!

Geoff Mina: Well, I guess that explains why no one has a Wave integration! Bummer. The bright side for me is that Hectic integrates with my bank account. I could do everything I'm currently doing with Wave right inside of Hectic!

Funny you mention that -- I don't have my accounting set up yet (don't tell on me!) but I found an accountant and she wants me to use Wave.
Geoff Mina
Laura Townsend: That's great news. We will keep you posted on our progress as we work towards planning out the integration with Wave.
