Ability to Add an Expense to Multiple Projects

Sometimes I have expense invoices that cover multiple projects. I'd like the ability to select more than one project in the dropdown.

Are these "house" or overhead expenses applied/allocated across projects? Or just a shorthand way to updare multiple projecrs with the same expense?
