Add deliverables as "tracked items" in an invoice

I can add hours worked as a tracked item, but I can't add deliverables completed as a tracked item. I would like to be able to list the deliverables completed and bill my client anytime, whether that's partway through a project or at the end, and I want to show the deliverables worked. Since projects are billed and not deliverables, this would require changing the line item to not be the item that is adding up the cost, but a portion (or all) of a project fee.

Currently, you're only able to select a Tracked Project as a line item for invoice. The way I'm using it is I'd added a Project to the client to serve as the "service" that I'm providing, and each deliverable is an entered gig with 4 available statuses. I'm generating an invoice for each deliverable in this scenario to track projected/received income. To do this, I have to manually update every invoice I'm generating.
Perhaps be able to select Tracked Project and/or deliverable for the invoice? so the Invoice line item would read "Project Name : Deliverable Name" in the description?
